My Review:
"The Beautiful Pretender" is Melanie's second  Medieval Fairy Tale book and I am hoping for so many more.  I absolutely loved this story as it took me back to feeling like a child when I first heard my first fairy tale.  Avelina has clear directions given to her and she does not think she will have any problem carrying them out as there is absolutely no way, in her mind, that she would be chosen to be the Margrave's wife.  However, as we all know things do not always go as planned, especially when deceit is at the core of it.  Avelina is such a spunky character, and she was full of spirit and heart.   I found myself transported back in time and in the midst of the drama and the lure of the castle and the hopes of the right one being chosen.  This is a fun read and journey for the reader as there is deception, romance and suspense all woven throughout.
