"Eating from the Ground Up" is an excellent cookbook to add to your kitchen! This is a beautiful, hardcover edition filled with colorful photographs of the recipes and such a wide variety of recipes included as well! The purpose of this book is highlight various vegetables and ways that really "show-off" the vegetable's flavor and Alana has totally met that purpose with this collection! I love vegetables, growing them, and eating them. However, it can be daunting to try and figure out how a "new to me" vegetable should be cooked and a good way to cook and serve them. This book is going to help me feel more comfortable with trying new vegetables and knowing how to better cook and serve them. I love the various types and the categories of the recipes that are included, such as too hot to cook, celebrations and soups. I am eager to try out a new recipe for carrot cake, Sausage and Swiss Chard Strata and Caramelized Onion Dip to name just a few that I have bookmarked! I highly recommend this as a new cookbook for you to try out!
