"All Manner of Things"is a novel that will draw you completely into the storyline and into the characters' lives and will leave you thinking about them long after you finish reading. When Mike enlists and goes off to Vietnam, the world is in the midst of a tumultuous time and not just the world but in homes as well. Annie is drawn back into the grief and drama that has been present for years when their estranged father is back once again. I love how the story unfolds and is shared with letters written between the characters interspersed throughout. This is an easy book to read as it flows so nicely and it is descriptive so therefore the setting and characters come to life; however it is heart-wrenching at times and yet so full of life other times. I highly recommend this book as one that will leave you thinking and full of hope.
