This is such a great story filled with characters who become so real, characters whom are trying to find their place and fulfill their longing for adventure and also their need for love. Ruthie has her life planned out and is set to leave her Amish life behind as she wants more from the world, but she has not been able to actually leave and take that final leap.
Then there's Patrick who is seeking out the Amish life and wants to fit in and be one of them and Ruthie is the girl to help him. However, Luke is not about to sit back and let Patrick get close to Ruthie.
Stoney Ridge is a great setting for these books and I am so glad that Suzanne has continued this series there. She does a great job with bringing the characters and really the entire community to life. This is a story that addresses things that we all struggle with and seek for...belonging, acceptance, adventure and love.
