"An Uncommon Woman"

Cover Art"An Uncommon Woman" is another excellent historical romance novel from Laura Frantz.  I was immediately drawn into the story and Tessa's life on the very first page.  We meet Tessa and her musings of having a petticoat and wanting some nice things, and also become in tune with the hardships and dangers of life on the frontier in the late 1700's.  Tessa is a sweet, determined girl, who is fiercely loyal and can hold her own as she is sister to so many brothers.  Clay is settling into the area at the Fort as commander and he is determined to do his job well.  He finds himself drawn to Tessa and her entire family, but is determined that he cannot get involved romantically.   I felt like this book was very well written as the time period and setting came to life as Laura writes with such vivid descriptions.  The characters also came to life and they are ones that were so easy to connect with and root for throughout the story.  This book will keep you turning pages once you start as you will want to keep reading to find out what happens next and to spend more time with these characters.
