Book Review - "Like a Flower in Bloom"

Siri Mitchell's latest novel, "Like a Flower in Bloom" is another great read from her and one that historical fiction fans will not want to miss out on!
It has been Charlotte and her father for years and she loves assisting her botanist father.  However, that changes when her uncle, the somewhat black sheep of the family, insists that it is time for Charlotte to live a proper life and find a husband.  Charlotte finds herself being replaced with her father by Edward and now there is no excuse for her to participate in society functions.  However, this is not what Charlotte wants and she is way outside of her comfort zone, her world.  Therefore, Charlotte devises a plan; however things do not go as she thought.
Charlotte is such a fun character to read about and spend time with!  Charlotte is socially awkward and her experiences and interactions are humorous that you cannot help but smile while reading.  I liked Edward's character as well and the role that he plays.  Siri does an excellent job with bringing the time period and societal expectations and daily living to life in her novels and I found myself transported back in time and into Charlotte's world.
