This latest novel from Erin Bartels is one that will stay with me for so long. "The Words Between Us" is such a beautifully- written story of healing, resilience and coming to terms with who we are and what makes us who we are. Robin is such a great main character, and it was so easy to like her from the very beginning. Her journey of having to once again face and come to terms with her past and the family she has tried to distance herself from is trying, and yet she is determined and true to herself. What initially drew me to this book was the cover, honestly, the old books holding stories and having been read by so many throughout the years. Then I started to read and did not want to stop as it was such an intriguing story filled with wonderful characters. Robin owning a used bookstore of course spoke to my soul as well, what a great job to have and I love how the books bring her solace and healing. There is so much that could be said about this book; however it is a story that you have to just read it to experience it and have the story speak to you. I am looking forward to what Erin may write next!
