"Finding Lady Enderly"

Cover Art Book Description from the publisher:

Raina's dreams are all about to come true.
But some dreams turn out to be nightmares.

Raina Bretton is a rag woman in London's East End when a handsome stranger appears in a dank alley, offering her a glittering smile and a chance for adventure. Rothburne Abbey has a unique position for her, one that will take her away from her hardscrabble life and give her a chance to be a lady.

Though Raina has traded squalor for silk and satin, something about the abbey is deeply unsettling. As she wrestles with her true identity, the ruin, decay, and secrets she finds at the heart of the old mansion tear at her confidence and threaten to reveal her for who she really is. Only one man stands between her and the danger that lurks within--and only if he decides to keep her biggest secret hidden.

My Review:
Right away in the first few pages I was completely drawn into the story!  Just in those few pages, I learned so much about Raina and her character right there that my heart when out to her and I wanted to find out her response to the offer of the new adventure.  The author has a talent for writing with such vivid descriptions that bring the setting to life as well as the characters through the intense emotions that are experienced and the interactions between the characters.  I felt like the time period really came to life and it was easy to connect with Raina even though her lifestyle varied, she had similar struggles and had to discover who she really was, not how others perceived her or how she wanted to be perceived, but who she actually was in her heart.  This is such a great book, I loved the mix of romance and mystery as well as the unique storyline and setting in the old mansion.  I highly recommend this for those whom enjoy historical romance!
