Oh my goodness, what a conclusion to this series! "Wait For Me" is the 6th and last book in the Montana Rescue series and while I have been waiting for this to come out so that I could finally have answers and know how everything turned out, I am going to miss this rescue team so much! (And now I cannot wait to see what Susan May Warren writes next!)
Each book has focused on a different member of the rescue team; however there are story lines that have been carried through, mainly one. That is the disappearance of Esme Shaw, Ian's niece, and now that she has returned home it seems as if justice will be served and things can settle down; however that is not the case when the vehicle that Esme and Jess are riding in is hit resulting in a horrible accident and them being injured and lost. Pete is still in love with Jess and only returned home for the wedding thinking that Jess would not be there and now that he has seen her again and then knowing that she is lost he is forced to deal with his feelings and he is afraid time is running out.
This series has been so good, it has suspense, romance, heartbreak and healing, and characters who became so real in this pages that it as if there really is this Peak Rescue team out there in Montana giving selflessly to help others. I have enjoyed all the main characters as well as the minor ones who have become a part of the series through their connections with the main characters. The scandals, the murders, the heart-pounding rescues, the natural disasters, all of these things the characters are faced with and work through, and they learn they cannot do it alone, not without the help of the rest of the team, but more importantly they cannot with the help from God, and their faith and trust in Him. Such a great series and if you have not read any of them, go and start with book #1, believe me you will not want to stop until you reach the very last page of book #6 "Wait For Me."
