Book Review - "Rachel"

"Rachel" is the third book in Jill Eileen Smith's Wives of the Patriarchs series.
"Rachel" is a beautiful, well-written story of Jacob and his two wives whom are sisters, sisters whom have never gotten along.  Jill has done a wonderful job with bringing this Biblical account to life as she writes with such detail and imagery and also brings the characters to life.   Leah and Rachel are easy to relate to and I found myself empathizing with both of them at different points throughout the book.  Leah wants Jacob's love, the true love that he feels for Rachel, and Rachel had to wait so long to be married to Jacob and they all find themselves in this situation because of choices and decisions made not only by them but by others as well including betrayal.  This is a novel not be missed by any historical fiction fan or anyone whom is a fan of Biblical fiction.
I am looking forward to see what other series this author will write!
