"Salad Love" is an incredible book! David Bez wanted to eat healthier lunches and therefore started preparing salads at his desk at work during his lunch hour. Of course, this caught the interest of co-workers and David thought it would of others as well leading to him sharing his daily lunch salads on his blog and now in this hardcover book. David states that this is not a cookbook, but a collection of salads that he has created and enjoyed. Each salad is pictured along with an ingredient list. What I love most about this book is the pages that David devotes to each section of the salad. For example, when you hear salad you might think that the main ingredient is greens; however there are so many more options that can be used for the base giving you so much more variety in your diet. The salads are organized in this book by season as David would shop each Monday for the week and would choose fresh produce that was available and in season. There are so many delicious and some unusual combinations that I would not have thought of and I am looking forward to trying these. The book overall has such a great layout and is so visually appealing that I could spend hours just paging through it and planning meals.
