Website | Facebook | Twitter  My Review: I absolutely LOVED "(un)Natural Mom;" this is a must-read for all mothers! I feel like we are all caught up in comparing ourselves, our families, everything about our lives with others in today's society, even more so with the abundant use of social media.  We are all about sharing and at time oversharing, and comparing ourselves to others.  Hettie helps each reader to realize that she is the perfect mother to her children and to discover her strengths and really what makes you mom.  Start out with taking an online assessment and then you can read about temperaments and types to discover what kind of a mother you are and the strengths of your type.  I found this book to be amazing!  It really helped me to not feel alone as a mother with the struggles and the rewards both of mothering, but also validated with how I mother and choose to raise my children.  I highly recommend this book and Hettie is an author I am going to read more of! Thankful hearts

"God Gave Us Thankful Hearts" by Lisa Tawn Bergren is a wonderful new children's book perfect for the upcoming fall season and Thanksgiving.  Little Pup is disappointed that the season is changing and his friends are all going to be hibernating.  Little Pup is encouraged by his parents to be thankful for the things in his life and the benefits of the changing season. 

This is perfect for children and fun to read together.  My children loves the illustrations going along with the story and the detail in the pictures is amazing, very intricate and pretty.  The story is cute and shows Little Pup doing different activities with his parents which was nice as my kids loved seeing things that we have done, such as going to a fall festival and also making caramel/candy apples.  This is another winner from Lisa!

"To Follow Her Heart"

"To Follow Her Heart" is book #3 in Rebecca DeMarino's Southold Chronicles series and it is a great addition to the series.  The ship that Patience's love was on has been shipwrecked and there were no survivors.  However, there was and Patience is overjoyed when Jeremy shows up back in Southold.  Jeremy is not planning to stay though and things do not go as Patience hoped  as it seems she has been waiting forever for Jeremy to settle down and them to be married.  

Rebecca does an incredible job with bringing history to life in her stories and creating characters whom are so easy to like and relate to.  I really felt as if the historical details added so much depth to the book and the setting and the way of life at that time came so alive.  I highly recommend you read this series in order, although they can be read as stand-alone novels.  Rebecca's novels are a perfect mix of history and romance.

"Deadly Encounter"

DiAnn Mills latest romantic suspense novel is excellent!  I always think that there is no way I could like another book more than the previous one that I have read, but I always like it just as much or more!

DiAnn dives right into the action in the very first chapter when Stacy is out on her "escape" from her busy week and life on Saturday morning, volunteering riding the perimeter of the airport when she comes upon a crime scene.  As she becomes connected to this mystery, other things begin happening.  What no one can figure out is how and if they are related, or it was coincidental. 

The characters in this novel all became so real and I found myself thinking of them as real live individuals.  Stacy is living life working as a vet in a seedy section of town and longs for a family of her own and is in the process of becoming an official foster mom to a boy whom is in desperate need of a safe home and family. Whitt is such a smart boy in all ways and unfortunately is a living a life that is way too common in today's society. 

DiAnn has done another incredible job of creating an intriguing, and realistic storyline mixed with suspense and romance with characters whom are easy to empathize with and root for from the beginning to the end of the book.  I highly recommend this and cannot wait until DiAnn's next book!

"Miracle in Music City"

My Review:
This is the first book that I have read in this series and it will not be the last!  As soon as this arrived in the mail my daughter was reading it; she was immediately hooked, so after she was asleep I sat down to check it out and was thrilled with it!  This is the perfect book and series for girls - it is filled with loveable and relatable characters with fun storylines and also great lessons and morals shared throughout it.  I do not have to worry about my daughter reading "trash" as this is completely age appropriate and a good clean book.  As an added bonus, I found the book to be enjoyable as well and something else that I could talk about with my daughter and also discuss how she can make a difference at her young age.

The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible

The Illustrator's Notetaking Bible is a great edition and on trend for today's society as coloring is such a popular craze at this time.  This Bible has wide margins that are lined for you to take notes in.  Then on some pages there are designs and pictures just waiting to be colored in and details added to highlighting the truths that are shared on the pages.  I am not really talented artistically (although I wish I was!), so at first I was a little intimidated by this Bible as I have seen pictures that people have shared of pages in their Bible which they have drawn and written in highlighting certain verses and points that are beautiful and so well done and thinking I couild never make something close half that nice!  Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised with this Bible as it is not just completely blank margins waiting to be filled by me.  Instead there are designs or "guidelines" which will help me to really make this Bible something that is me and holds even more meaning to me as I share what is in my  heart and what has stood out in studies.

"Modern Potluck"

This is a gorgeous cookbook!  It is filled with beautiful pictures that make the food look so appealing and just so homey and comforting.  There is also a nice variety of recipes in this book and tips included in regards to the ingredients and recipes to try when and where.  This is like a typical cookbook as far as the chapters, as there is one for dips and snacks, another chapter for side dishes, another for sweets, and another for slow-cooked recipes.  There is also a chapter devoted to recipes made in a 9x13 pan.  What makes this cookbook unique is that each of the recipes is specifically chosen for this book with the idea that it is going to be shared with a  group/taken to a potluck.  Therefore, the recipes will travel well and can be prepped ahead of time.  I highly recommend this book if you are looking to spice up your next potluck!
